“If you don’t design your own life plan, chances are you’ll fall into someone else’s plan. And guess what they have planned for you? Not much.” – Jim Rohn
Marie Away began in 2014 as my space to share my stories — travel and otherwise. Since then, it’s grown to include posts detailing my experiences with living as a minimalist, transitioning to a plant-based diet, and struggles with anxiety and productivity.
I’m a 27-year-old Canadian who just moved home to Newfoundland after several years of living away and travelling in Asia, Australia and New Zealand, South America, and within Canada.
I’m staying put for a year to further my studies, so most of my travel posts at this time will likely revolve around places I’ve already been and Newfoundland itself.
I’m currently working on a guide to minimalist living, which I’m planning to release in ebook format before the end of 2016 (EDIT: Looking like sometime in 2017 now. Schoolwork eats up your time — forgot about that). For updates on that, subscribe to my email list here:
