It’s been a crazy week of trying to pack in as much as I can into the small amount of time that I have here in Iceland. I’m just not used to the week-long vacation anymore. There’s this constant awareness that in a few days I’ll be back to work and leaving Reykjavík and Iceland behind.
So, I’ve failed at consistency with the blog so far, but I’ve got many photos, experiences, and videos to share over the coming weeks. It should keep me going for a while.
Anyway, I’m heading out again, but thought I’d leave you with a video I threw together from our trip to Mount Esja the other day. I’ll be putting together a more detailed guide (which we could have used) in the future, but here is a small glimpse of the experience we had.

Iceland looks absolutely beautiful! Great vid – it’s nice seeing your faces on video 🙂

Thanks Chalsie! It’s a very nerve-wracking thing. I took a lot more footage than shown–just too shy!
I feel planning a short trip is easier but the downside would be not having the flexibility of change if something interesting comes up due to time constraints. I have taken a couple weekend trips with friends and I realize we have to plan our days out because our time is limited. I realize if we have a plan on what we want to do before we take our trip, the day is better and we know what to expect! The top things we all enjoy doing is finding a great place to eat, thrift shopping, exploring nature together, and talking late into the night about our lives and what we hope for in the future!
Very true. I think my problem is that I’m not a very organized planner! I like having the time to figure it out as I go. Those activities sound like the basis for an awesome trip 🙂
